Responsible for a variety of pre-close and post-close activities for complex commercial, commercial real estate and/or problem loans. Responsibilities include: coordinating all aspects of loan closings; performing customer, loan and regulatory diligence; on-going portfolio maintenance; accurately evaluating and uploading data into the bank’s systems of record; ensuring compliance with all bank policies, procedures and regulatory requirements; may review and/or prepare loan related documents; may provide guidance and training to other team members. Individual contributor generally recognized as a subject matter expert in one or more areas.

  • Commercial Real Estate documentation and closing experience
  • Ability to read and interpret very complex commercial loan and legal documentation, including loan terms and financial elements in the documents for accuracy to confirm consistency with the Credit Approval
  • Extensive knowledge of commerical real estate loan cloasing processes and procedures, lending compliance and regulations, loan systems and loan documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize sound judgement and work under limited supervision
  • Partner extensively with regional credit teams, internal legal, outside counsel, loan centers, and third party vendors to ensure lending process properly balance efficiency and risk management
  • Collaborate and consult with attorneys/internal legal department for review of complex loan documents and requests to ensure conformity with compliance, bank policy, legal guidelines and regulatory requirements
  • Negotiate loan/legal documents and assess risk
  • Review complex entity structure and corporate documents
  • Ability to review and comprehend title commitment/reports and identify risk as appropriate
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels 
  • Knowledge and understanding of credit policy, compliance, and underwriting requirements
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to obtain information
  • Ability to read and interpret complex loan and legal documentation
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with credit partners, internal legal, outside counsel, title companies and third party vendors as necessary  
  • Thorough knowledge of commercial real estate credit products and various loan structures

May be located in other WM Hub locations.

Salary range is determined by the location of the job.

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule:

Chicago, IL: Min: $71,900 Mid: $101,200 Max: $130,500
Minneapolis, MN: Min: $65,300 Mid: $92,000 Max: $118,700

May be considered for discretionary bonus

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of commercial loan closing experience, commercial loan administration experience, or a combination of both

Desired Qualifications

  • Commercial loan documentation, preparation, or review experience
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Effective organizational, multi tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels; where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
  • Knowledge and understanding of credit: policy, compliance, and underwriting requirements
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information

Other Desired Qualifications

  • Paralegal experience in the area of commercial real estate preferred
  • Experience reviewing pre-closing CRE due diligence items, including but not limited to title insurance, entity formation documents, flood zone determinations, surveys, insurance, zoning compliance, etc.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex loan and legal documentation
  • Knowledge and understanding of credit policy, compliance, and underwriting requirements
  • Thorough knowledge of commercial real estate credit products and various loan structures

Salary Information

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.

IL-Chicago: Min: $71,900 Mid: $101,200 Max: $130,500
MN-Minneapolis: Min: $65,300 Mid: $92,000 Max: $118,700
