As a Senior Software Automation Engineer you’ll be part of a cross-functional team that’s responsible for the setup, maintenance and ongoing development of continuous build/integration pipelines and API programming to advance automation and DevOps processes for our Contact Center.

As a Senior Software Automation Engineer, you will be a primary contributor in designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting and supporting all types of applications consistent with established specifications and business requirements to deliver business value.

You’ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Work with development teams to define software solutions
  • Design and maintain automation pipelines
  • Write effective APIs
  • Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
  • Create security and data protection settings
  • Write technical documentation

Required Qualifications: 

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Application Development using JAVA and/or Python
  • 3+ years of experience in Automation Engineering using Configuration Management Tools (Ansible, Chef)

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 3+ years of experience with Continuous Integration Tools (Jenkins, XL Deploy, Artifactory)
  • Experience with Hashi Corp Products (Terraform, Vault)
  • Experience with Container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with Cloud Technologies, such as AWS or Azure
  • Experience with Genesys PSDK
  • Experience with Weblogic
  • Experience with MS SQL 
  • Sound skills with scripting languages, such as YAML, Ruby, Bash, Groovy
  • Sound knowledge of Linux Administration

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $79,700 to $142,600. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $87,900 to $156,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
