Rothman Orthopaedic Specialty Hospital is a single-specialty surgical hospital in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. Our hospital was developed by Rothman physicians to provide their patients high quality and patient-focused care. Our facility features 6 fully-equipped operating rooms and 24 in-patient rooms. We are equipped for joint replacements, orthopedic surgery, pain management and spine surgery, as well as sports medicine, foot and ankle, shoulder and elbow, and hand and wrist procedures. Rothman Orthopaedic Specialty Hospital offers patients a safe and comfortable environment to receive surgical care.


  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • One-year experience in police or security field


  • Responsible for access control, control of keys and emergency response and notification.
  • Renders assistance and security related services to staff, physicians, patients, and visitors.
  • Patrols assigned areas, checking for fires, vandalism, and suspicious activity, and immediately reports any/all findings to the Director of Facilities and/or Administrative on Call
  • Checks doors and windows of buildings to ensure they are tightly closed and locked.
  • Decides when incident requires written report.
  • Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates
  • Answer alarms and investigate disturbances
  • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
  • Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, unusual occurrences. And when emergency vehicles are on the property
  • Call police or fire department in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
  • Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property
  • Escort staff and visitors throughout building or parking lot as needed for personal safety.
  • Monitor parking lots to ensure staff, visitors, and vendors are parking in the appropriate parking spaces
  • Ensure all staff, vendors, and contractors are wearing an ID badge.
  • Attend annual fire panel training
  • Answer telephone calls to take messages, answer questions and provide information during non-business hours.
  • Must be CPR and AED certified.
  • Responsible for notifying Director of Facilities and/or Administrative on Call whenever emergency vehicles (Police, Fire, EMS, other law enforcement) arrive on the property.
