Magnolia River has an exciting opportunity to lead a team of Recruiters responsible for the talent acquisition needs of our Field Services Division. In this role you will be the primary contact with various department heads and will work with them to staff their current and future hiring needs. In addition, you will be responsible for the management and development of a team of Recruiters that will help deliver top talent to the division.

This is a great role for someone who has a strong knowledge of talent acquisition/staffing, exceptional ability to provide customer service to our internal stakeholders, and a desire to lead a dynamic team as we work toward a common goal of growing our company.

This position will primarily be a remote role but is expected to meet at least once a week in our Fort Washington, PA offices.

Magnolia River Services, Inc. (Magnolia River) was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Decatur, Alabama. Magnolia River is an engineering, inspection, GIS, software, and consulting company focused on the utilities, oil and gas, water, and pipeline infrastructure industries.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Recruiting Manager:

  • Work with the Field Services business unit, and its leaders, to understand their current and future hiring needs.
  • Consult with hiring managers and other stakeholders to develop job profiles utilizing the Predictive Index.
  • Develop a recruitment strategy for each opportunity.
  • Create captivating job descriptions to attract top talent to our roles.
  • Post job opportunities across a variety of mediums.
  • Manage the day-to-day recruitment efforts of your recruiters.
  • Work in conjunction with Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition to set goals for team members.
  • Assist in managing the budget for recruitment tools such as Indeed, LinkedIn, Monster, etc.
  • Actively source, interview, and present candidates to internal hiring managers.
  • Ensure that team processes are being followed, updated, and taught.
  • Maintain and update the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) in UltiPro.
  • Ensure that you and the team maintain a high level of respect for the candidates that are sourced and interviewed.
  • Help coach hiring managers on best practices to interview candidates.
  • Partner with Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition to identify new training material for the team.
  • With the assistance of the Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition, look to develop existing and identify new applicant sources by researching and contacting colleges, employment agencies, social media network, internet sites, etc.
  • Determine applicant requirements by studying job descriptions, job qualifications, and success profiles.
  • Arrange in-house or virtual interviews by working with department administrative assistants to include travel and lodging where needed.
  • Improve organization attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices.
  • Avoid legal challenges by understanding current legislation; enforcing regulations with managers; recommending new procedures; conducting training.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organization.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities the Recruiting Manager Will Bring With Them:

  • Strong track record recruiting for multiple roles at a time across a wide variety of disciplines.
  • Track record of coaching, training, and developing others.
  • Strong understanding of sourcing and the various ways to identify active and passive candidates.
  • Exceptional sales skills and more specifically the ability to captivate a candidate when discussing an opportunity.
  • General knowledge and application of Federal and State employment legislations.
  • General knowledge of HR processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to use computer applications and functions including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to perform in a detail-oriented environment with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.
  • Ability to prepare clear and concise reports, procedures, correspondences, and other written materials.
  • Ability to interview and evaluate candidates.
  • Ability to communicate unpleasant news and difficult information in an appropriate manner.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Education and Experience of the Recruiting Manager:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or other related major from an accredited educational institution.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of staffing/recruiting/talent acquisition experience with at least six (4) years in a leadership role.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems.
  • Proven track record of leading and developing talent.

Physical Demands of the Recruiting Manager:

Duties are performed in an office environment.

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time.
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers and clients.
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information.
  • For the right candidate this position could be considered remotely based.
