LSAC is a not-for-profit corporation devoted to promoting and furthering the quality, access, and fairness of the law school admission process by providing core products and services to law school candidates and law schools in the United States and throughout the world. LSACs mission is to advance law and justice by encouraging diverse, talented individuals to study law and by supporting their enrollment and learning journeys from prelaw through practice.

Summary of Position:

We are looking for an outstanding Product Manager to join our team and help drive the evolution of products within our LawHub product suite, specifically LawHub Learning Products. The Learning Products area includes supplemental components and learning opportunities focused on supporting an individual in stages of their journey towards a career in the legal profession. Stages could include the prelaw as well as the legal education space. This is a technical product management role that will work with the Director of Learning and Instructional Designers to ensure delivery of learning programs and events within the LawHub platform.

This role is for you if you love to take on new challenges and build innovative new products in the learning space. Your ability to be a team player, research, be creative, communicate, build relationships, display grit, lead, and listen will determine the future of the product. This is an interdisciplinary role, and you will work with other Product Managers, Solution Architects, Development Team members and the Business Development team to deliver world-class learning products, features and content.

Essential Functions:

  • Understand the vision and mission of LawHub overall and work with Product Leads, other Product Managers, internal & external stakeholders, and LSAC management to envision products and new features that support both the vision and the stakeholder needs

  • Collect feedback from all stakeholders of LawHub Learning products, new learning concepts and learning needs from prelaw/pre-admission through legal education stages of the journey to help maintain and improve current products as well envision future products and features.

  • Contribute to the creation of a comprehensive strategy and roadmap; gain buy-in and drive execution specific to providing beneficial learning opportunities to individuals approaching or within Law School.

  • Using an agile approach and methodology, work in collaboration with stakeholders and members of the team to prioritize student and admission staff needs and new product features based on metrics including value to the user, fit with the vision, and ROI (value and fit versus effort)

  • Develop MVP solutions based on priorities so as to drive value to the users sooner rather than later

  • Translate prioritized new products and product features into user stories working with a cross-functional team of marketing, experience designers and technical architects to ensure that stories are well-defined and understood by team before being worked

  • Lead multi-disciplinary product team through iterative deployment of new prototypes, software, and services.

  • Establish continuous improvement/continuous delivery pipeline to continually improve products post-launch with based on customer satisfaction.

  • Communicate product changes and set external expectations including release notes for new features and products

  • Collaborate with other Product Managers to balance the technical dept with upcoming product features and develop implementation strategies

  • Evangelize the vision for both LawHub Learning, as well as supporting products both within LSAC, as well as externally.

  • Mentor stakeholders and team members in Agile methodology and MVP solution development approaches

  • Conduct product demos to show new features and products to stakeholders

  • Assist operations resources in managing a network of content & services providers

Competencies:

  • Background in EdTech with at least 3 years of product management experience preferably working within an Agile software development environment

  • Experience with digital learning platform/applications, content management systems (CMS), and/or learning management systems (LMS) a plus

  • Knowledge of and working experience with Agile methods and principles a must, preferably KanBan

  • Logical reasoning ability to break down large value driven components into MVP solutions and prioritize them by working in collaboration with stakeholders

  • Understand learning experience methodologies

  • Passion about the education space (preferably legal education) and providing an engaging & personalized learning experience at every stage of the individuals journey

  • Familiarity or prior working experience with utilization of recommendation algorithms / systems to present relevant content to end user

  • Understand accessibility compliance and standards guidelines

  • Outstanding relationship skills, presentation, and leadership skills.

  • Creative thinker with a vision

  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Understanding of the prelaw through legal education user journey is a bonus
