**Government and Public Sector - Technology Transformation - Pension Transformation Analyst**

**The opportunity**

Join our growing team to assist the public pension market develop efficient and scalable operations. Assist our clients better define their strategic goals, improve operational efficiency, integrate business idea with technology solutions; identify solutions and drive transformational change. You'll help our clients enhance the operating model to drive efficiency and scale to prepare for members for retirement.

Our pension team at Ernst & Young LLP, builds a better working world by supporting public sector and higher education pensions and retirement plans as they address key challenges - from formulating policy and strategy, designing and evolving governance and risk management to growing and transforming pension and retirement systems, IT solutions, investment outcomes, member outreach and overall pension and retirement business and processes. With significant local and global experience with top pension firms, we can assist with "what's next" and bring deep insights, knowledge and pension project experience to clients. **Your key responsibilities**

Manage projects through various initiatives with our clients. Lend specific subject matter knowledge to the design and integration phase of each project, helping to give specificity to the planning, execution and client management. Advise clients on a variety of business process issues that help identify, assess, manage and measure the organization's capabilities. Use business process, organizational and technology capabilities and knowledge across several of the following focus areas including:

+ Public pension administration

+ Public pension investment operations

+ Higher education

+ State and local government agencies

**Skills and attributes for success**

+ Deep knowledge of pension investment operations and / or pension administration

+ Ability to integrate the business vision with technological implementation

+ Research and review up-to-date business processes and new IT advancements

+ Experience with the Software Development Lifecyle (waterfall, agile, etc.) and project delivery phases (requirements, design, testing, implementation etc.)

+ Experience with technology transformation areas including system implementation and technology business analysis and management

+ Ability to support technology solutions based on client requirements

+ Entrepreneurial mindset with excellent communication skills

+ Stay abreast of current public pension industry trends

+ Foster, maintain, and strengthen internal and external relationships at appropriate levels

+ Drive high-quality work products within expected timeframes and on budget

+ Constantly developing your understanding of current strategy trends and processes and sharing your knowledge to develop junior colleagues

+ Forming, collaborating and leading diverse EY teams

**To qualify for the role you must have**

+ A bachelor's degree and approximately 2+ years of related work experience

+ A degree in computer science, engineering, accounting, finance or a related field; MBA or MS degree preferred

+ Experience working at a public pension, financial services company or advisory firm focused on relevant area

+ Experience with public and/or pension business and administration

+ Strong knowledge of and experience in supervising and executing all phases of the engagement life cycle, based on proven project management and testing methodologies

+ Experience with software development life cycle methodologies (waterfall, agile, etc.)

+ Experience and knowledge of project delivery phases (requirements, design, testing, implementation, and training); Experience with system implementation and technology business analysis

+ Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills, coupled with a strong interest in further developing and integrating operations with technology skills

+ Ability and comfort level researching client inquiries and emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices, and new technologies

+ Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance or higher, which will be driven by the engagement requirements

+ Previous Project experiences in:

+ Operating model development

+ Business process re-design

+ Large scale operational business, technology or digital transformation

+ Technology solution selection and implementation

+ Project management

The EY Government and Public Sector Practice's staffing model is to assign resources to projects aligned to the office within the metropolitan area you have been hired; however, in certain circumstances, travel may be required within and/or beyond your geographic region based on client and project needs.? For roles within the federal practice, the flexibility to travel up to approximately 30% is preferred. Within the state, local and education practice, the flexibility to travel up to approximately 80% is preferred.
