The Account Executive will help achieve maximum sales profitability, market penetration and growth within the State/Local Government and Education sector (SLED). This will be done by effectively prospecting to new target accounts and building existing accounts to meet Precisely’s rapid growth plans and expand our global presence as leaders in data integrity.

You Will:

  • Learn, understand and convey Precisely’s products capabilities and benefits
  • Sell software to state and local government.
  • Communicate Precisely’s value proposition to the SLED sector to drive insightful client engagements across various business functions (i.e. IT Operations, Agency/Department lines of business such as Medicaid, Unemployment, Tax, and Analytics)
  • Drive pipeline growth through effective prospecting and lead generation activities
  • Build and manage all stages of sales pipeline to consistently achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual targets (prospecting through to deal closing)
  • Plan, execute and document sales steps utilizing Precisely’s CRM
  • Provide accurate forecasting and reporting to Sales leaders
  • Develop and execute actions and business plans to generate revenue for new business within assigned territory
  • Work closely with Precisely’s Pre-sales and Professional Services teams to create compelling business propositions based on Precisely solutions
  • Contribute to market strategy by monitoring market data, competitive products and prospect feedback
  • Convey product feature requests to Product Management team

You Have:

  • 5-7+ in enterprise software sales, preferably selling direct and with partners to state/local governments and education.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience will be accepted in place of the education requirement.
  • Experience in data management, applications and IT platforms.
  • Understanding of data quality, big data and cloud solutions.


  • Excellent selling skills and the ability to close business
  • Self-starter with strong planning, technical and administrative proficiencies
  • Strong business and operations acumen especially within the insurance industry
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels with prospects, customers, partners and within Precisely
