Performance Duties

· This position requires familiarity with the terminology of the office.

· General Clerk II selects appropriate methods from a variety of procedures and makes simple adaptations and interpretations of a limited number of substantive guides and manuals. The clerical steps often vary in type or sequence, depending on the tasks. Recognized problems are referred to by others.

· Their duties include responding to phone calls or emails, copying, organizing, or scanning documents into an electronic filing system, restocking paper in copiers and fixing jams, distributing email memos throughout the office, and fielding inquiries from internal customers.

· The work requires knowledge of the processes, procedures, and practices of legal support activities in conjunction with knowledge of office skills and an ability to apply these skills to increase the effectiveness of the assigned AUSA.

· The office consists of five floors and several off-site locations so the clerk would need to be able to travel through the office and walk a few city blocks and may be required to lift 20 lb. paper boxes.

Personal Qualifications

· Experience with Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Outlook, and Excel is required.

· Document/exhibit organization will be expected.

· Ability to multitask

· Ability to lift 20 lbs. box

· Customer service skills both written and verbal
