PURPOSE OF THE POSITION :
The Executive Director of the Ann Silverman Community Health Clinic (ASCHC) provides innovative leadership, administrative and financial management, strategic planning, donor cultivation and stewardship, program development and organizational oversight in order to fulfill the ASCHC ' s mission. The Executive Director plans, directs, implements, evaluates and continually improves the organization to provide integrated medical, dental and behavioral health care services to low-income, uninsured patients and families using the clinic as their medical home. The Executive Director reports directly to the Chairperson of the ASCHC Board.

Essential Functions

  • Provide executive leadership, management and development of programs and staff/volunteers to deliver reliable, well-coordinated, family-centered health care services to the underserved community in Bucks County, PA.
  • Direct financial operations to ensure fiscal stability and long-term sustainability of ASCHC.
  • Serve as an integral participant in the Board-led strategic planning to fulfill the clinic's mission.
  • Drive fundraising initiatives in the cultivation and stewardship of donors and grantors.
  • Serve as the liaison with the ASCHC Board of Directors and Doylestown Health leadership.
  • Serve as the spokesperson for ASCHC and the community at-large.

JOB CRITERIA AND PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:

  • Provide executive leadership, management and development of programs and staff/volunteers to deliver reliable, well-coordinated, family-centered health care services to the underserved community in Bucks County, PA.
    • Provide executive management and maintains a culture that is mission-driven and effective in achieving the highest standards of patient care to fulfill the ASCHC mission.
    • Direct a dedicated network of medical and community volunteers whose time and talent contribute to the delivery of health services and smooth operations of the clinic.
    • Monitor and evaluate patient needs to ensure appropriate clinic services are available.
    • Respond quickly, effectively and responsibly to public health emergencies such as the COVID-19 pandemic, which disproportionately impacted the clinic's patient population.
  • Direct fiscal operations to ensure financial stability and long-term sustainability of ASCHC with Board oversight and guidance.
    • Prepare and present the ASCHC annual budget and quarterly financial reports to the Board.
    • Ensure that the approved budget is followed as is reasonable and appropriate.
    • Coordinate the Annual Audit to ensure ASCHC is in compliance with IRS rules.
  • Serve as an integral participant in the Board-led strategic planning process to fulfill the clinic's mission and the community it serves.
    • Work with the Board to initiate, develop, implement and evaluate the ASCHC Strategic Plan at regular intervals.
    • Cultivate relationships with outside organizations that will enhance the ASCHC mission.
    • Advocate for services and program expansion as appropriate to address new needs and opportunities to improve the health of the community the clinic serves.
  • Drive fundraising programs in the cultivation and stewardship of donors and grantors.
    • Proactively seek opportunities to introduce potential donors to the ASCHC mission.
    • Lead stewardship activities for donors to ensure continued support.
    • Identify, submit and steward philanthropic grants to support ASCHC programs.
    • Mentor and assist Board members with donor cultivation and donor stewardship.
    • Lead the Annual Campaign and Major Donor Committee.
  • Serve as the key liaison with the ASCHC Board of Directors and Doylestown Health leadership.
    • Coordinate the ASCHC Board and its Committees with staff support as needed.
    • Implement Board policies and directives into the clinic's daily operations and practices.
    • Introduce new programs and initiatives for the Board's consideration to enhance services and meet patient needs.
    • Maintain a good working relationship with Doylestown Health for effective clinic operations and patient care, personnel management of ASCHC staff, and community relations
  • Serves as the Spokesperson for ASCHC and the community at-large.

Job Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor ' s degree required with a clinical or public health graduate degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 7 to 10 years executive management experience in a nonprofit health care organization is required with public health or community health experience a plus.
