The Department of Corrections, State Correctional Institute at Chester is seeking an organized, positive individual to provide clerical support.

If you are a dedicated individual with a positive attitude, is organized, and pays attention to details, as well as having a strong interest in clerical work, this may be the position for you. As a Clerk Typist 2 you will provide clerical and office support to your assigned institution. You will be responsible for filing, typing a variety of documents, and inputting data for various departments within the institution, operate office equipment and maintaining computer databases and records.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment.

  • Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title);or

  • Graduation from high school;or

  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

    Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
