Classification: User Experience (UX) Designer

Compensation: $32.30 to $37.40 hourly

The Creative Group has a client in need of a UX/UI Designer! This is a remote consulting assignment that will be one and a half to three months long. You will collaborate with Design leadership, the Marketing team, key business stakeholders, and an in-house team of developers, and will be involved with projects through the planning, design, and development lifecycle. You'll work on projects consisting of a website that was recently relaunched, landing pages for campaigns for products that will be launching, the internal site they manage, and also revamp email templates.

Additional responsibilities include:
• Work with business partners and Design leadership to translate concepts into sketches, wireframes and interactive prototypes
• Create new experiences and make updates to WordPress website(s)
• Participate in design thinking workshops, stakeholder and client interviews
• Present design concepts, user needs and design rationale to business stakeholders to ensure designs meet business strategies and customer needs
• Participate in research and testing throughout the design process to gather feedback, identify opportunities and validate designs
• Incorporate feedback to iterate on design solutions
• Create product and feature specifications, UI patterns, and style guides to supplement prototypes
• Hand off production files, documentation and specs for developers
• Work closely with development team to ensure that design specifications are implemented
• Assist in defining and maintaining UX design patterns and standards
• Monitor and have knowledge of wider industry UX trends and relevant technology trends

Qualifications include:
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, User Experience or related field
• 0–5 years of experience
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, InVision, or related design and prototyping tools
• Experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, SASS) and software development principles
• Experience with WordPress or other content management systems
• Proficiency in visual design, typography and composition
• Familiarity with designing for accessibility
• Understanding of responsive web design
• Portfolio of work demonstrating strong analytical skills and great interaction design
