The USAF partnered with AT&T to consolidate multiple disparate expenditures and IT projects into a consolidated enterprise while still allowing its users to retain the ability to tailor services and service levels. AT&T is providing commercial IT services to the USAF to improve performance of IT services and allow re-missioning of military personnel to cyber warfighting missions. The AT&T Network as a Service (NaaS) team has an opening for Senior System Engineer. Our NaaS team is dedicated to improving the USAF IT experience through commercial services to increase mission effectiveness. It supports the AF Program Management Office, Air Combat Command, 16AF and subordinated units delivering high-availability and secure network capabilities. Duties/Responsibilities: * Guide a team of network engineers, the principal network engineer is tasked with identifying the client's infrastructure needs and designing a network that meets - or exceeds - their requirements * Conducts network architecture design, feasibility and cost studies * Develop and evaluate network performance criteria and measurement method * Develops alternative routing scenarios and changes in required sequence of network activities * Troubleshoots and resolves all expedited issues impacting the customers' challenges and needs Required Clearance: Secret (#secret) Required Qualifications: * Must be a US Citizen * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), or equivalent experience * Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) * Senior network engineer with 10 years of hand-on data internetworking experience; CCIE certified or CCIE-level experience * Six years of IT management experience, preferably within commercial or Department of Defense (DoD) spaces * At least 10 years in IT services such as Internet, cloud computing, hosting, managed services, etc. * Strong experience with several of the following: * Security policy management * WAN, BAN, Security and Cloud environments * Cisco Routing and Switching solutions * Routing protocols on Cisco routers and layer 3 switches including OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP * Layer 2 Protocols: VLANs, VTP, LACP, PAGP, and Spanning Tree (STP) * Network Services Protocols: VSS, WCCP, ACLs, Policy Based Routing (PBR) Desired Qualifications: * Strong familiarity with AT&T DoD service offerings, preferably relating to USAF and NaaS/EITaaS * Expertise in MPLS networks and managed router services * Two or more of the following professional certifications: * Cisco (Highly desired) * Microsoft * F5 * Background in USAF Cyberspace Operations and understanding of technical discussions and projects * Excellent social, verbal, and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to present analytical data to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences Ready to join our team?
