Our client in Southern New Jersey is currently looking to hire a senior accountant for their audit division. The client is a large accounting firm that helps clients manage risk, improve operations, and grow their business. This role will be responsible for performing audits and directing/reviewing the work of staff accountants. This position will handle audits, taxes, compilations, reviews, and general consulting with clients. This role must be able to conduct and oversee fieldwork, prepare and analyze client accounting records, and supervise staff members if need be. Also, this will include internal control evaluations, peer reviews, efficiency reviews, SSAE 18 and SOC 1 and 2 Reports. This role must be comfortable meeting and working one-on-one with clients in order to review, perform audits, and provide consulting services.

MINIMUM of 3-4 years in an accounting role.
MUST have minimum of a college undergraduate degree in Accounting or related field.
CPA designation is STRONGLY preferred.
MUST have experience using Microsoft applications such as Excel and Word.
Experience using Pro System FX is STRONGLY preferred.
Background in public accounting is STRONGLY preferred.
Experience performing governmental audits is STRONGLY preferred.
MUST have the ability to work in office, on the client's premises, and remotely as needed.
Ability to prepare for and pass the RMA examination is strongly preferred.
