Human Resources Assistant 
Job Summary:
Responsibilities include placing job ads on career pages for recruitment, updating employee records, maintaining overtime report, and scan/file H/R documents and personnel files. Assist H/R Generalist with preparing weekly payroll, record keeping and maintaining and updating personnel records, management reports and following procedures within union contract.

Job duties:

  • Track union employee's timecard punches daily.
  • Responsible for monthly departmental overtime analysis report for union.
  • Responsible for recruitment for union employees, by advertising openings, process applications, scores union employment interview forms, set up interviews and drug screening/physical for candidates.
  • Complete unemployment forms.
  • Type union employee's reprimands and verify their return to appropriate individuals.
  • Responsible for petty cash, distribution of meal tickets and tool allowance.
  • Scan, file, maintain union employee's personnel files, HR documents and accessing personnel files for any inquires for union employees.
  • Assist in verifying union employees are paid correctly via E-Time;  involving shift switches, temporary rate adjustments, safety meeting attendance, and abide by union contract rules for   proper payment.
  • Assist in answering employee's questions and concerns regarding benefits.
  • Assist in completing 1095 C reports, to ensure compliance with ACA.
  • Assist with new employee orientation for union employees, when appropriate.
  • Assist in yearly physical inventory.
  • Assist in taking detailed notes and minutes at meetings, when appropriate.
  • Performs other related duties and special projects, as assigned.

Experience with ADP and Union Payroll a plus.

 20-24 hours weekly-- Monday-Tuesday (a must) with flexible hours for rest of the week.
Pays $17-$20 hourly BOE
