Firm Overview:

Berger Montague PC, a pioneering plaintiffs’ class action litigation law firm, headquartered in Philadelphia, offers a competitive salary and attractive benefits package for an experienced litigation paralegal to support the plaintiffs’ mass tort team. The paralegal will be assigned to a case, not a specific attorney.

Primary Responsibilities:

-Manage and organize client files and documents for a significant number of clients

-Order and obtain records, including medical records

-Review and summarize documents, including medical records

-Respond to routine client inquiries

-Interact with client to obtain information

-Assist with drafting and filing form complaints

-Draft and prepare discovery responses including preparation fact sheets, census forms, or other documents

-Assist with organizing and implementing client management projects

-Provide case support to assigned attorneys throughout all phases of litigation

-Organize documents for deposition preparation

-Provide support during trial

-Some overnight travel may be required

-Bill for time

Qualifications:

-6+ years of paralegal & litigation experience

-Must have strong litigation experience including managing high volumes of clients and -documents, coordinating filings, and E-filing at both the State and Federal Court Level

-Must be able to communicate with clients in an appropriate and professional manner

-Must be open to staying late if it is needed to finish a time-sensitive assignment

-Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to excel in a fast-paced environment

-Excellent time management skills to effectively handle multiple deadlines simultaneously

-Able to work well independently and as part of a team which may include personnel in other law firms

-Project a positive, professional image in all interactions with clients, business invitees, -attorneys, and staff

-Excellent oral and written communication skills

-Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Products, including Word, Outlook, and Excel

-Mass Tort or personal injury litigation experience is a plus
