Network Administrator - IMMEDIATE DIRECT HIRE!
*Responsible for the configuration and operations of all desktop computers, laptops, hardware and networks locally in Plymouth Meeting and remotely at Regional Sales home offices.
*Provides technical service support including installation, maintenance, and software training as required.
*Monitors/develops procedures including DR plans for computer and network management.
*Consults with departmental managers as needed to determine future needs for software applications, peripheral equipment and security functions to assist with IT planning.
*Provides technical guidance for all network users in the areas of training, problem resolution, hardware and software upgrades.
*Ensures that desktop computers, laptops, servers, VOIP and network infrastructure (including all related hardware/equipment) are functioning properly and are available for their intended uses through monitoring and on-going maintenance.
*Monitors the utilization of all networks to detect potential errors or problems and provides necessary prevention guidelines. Monitors networks to determine upgrade requirements and general utilization issues.
*Ensures that backup, recovery, security procedures and all possible protective measures are configured, maintained and performed as necessary.
*Maintains an adequate level of knowledge of operating system and application software being used to provide high levels of support to others.
*Provides new application ideas to all areas of company if new technology can be utilized to gain better efficiency and improve company productivity.
*Conducts high level training or back up assistance to the Systems Support Specialist for training the computer users in one-on-one and/or classroom settings on the use of PC's and software applications.
*Supports users with technical advice and problem resolution.
*Tracks software licenses and organization of software with the assistance of the Systems Support Specialist.
*2+ years of Network Administration Experience
*Working knowledge of VMWARE and network VLANS
*Good inter-personal communication skills
