Manager - Software Support

OPEX Corporation is currently looking for a full-time, experienced Software Support Manager to provide advanced software support for our Warehouse Automation products.

Position Summary
OPEX Corporation is currently looking for a full-time, experienced Software Support Group Manager to oversee advanced product support for our Warehouse Automation products. This position is to be based within the contiguous 48 States, with an average 25% travel to our Corporate Headquarters in Moorestown, NJ and to various customer sites. Technical interface between customer (IT, IS, Production), field service management, technical support management, and engineering management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse and complex scope of support issues directly related to the use, support, and implementation of our products by monitoring the group's SR tasks to ensure accuracy of call notes and guard against stagnation.
  • Provide direction on escalations and be able to provide advanced level software assistance.
  • Communicate with Regionals and Customers to talk through planning and procedures regarding escalated problems.
  • Complete employee reviews.
  • Travel to customer sites to assist with training and troubleshooting of escalated issues.
  • Work closely with software engineers, application engineers, and other subject matter experts to gather product-related technical source information.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent in Computer Science, Control Systems or PLC Engineering related field is acceptable.
  • 5+ years of experience in a product support roll with software and PC troubleshooting skills, with emphasis on Database. Related management experience a plus.
  • Proficient with Ubuntu, PostgreSQL, MS Server, Windows, Microsoft Office 365 software.
  • Experience with windows update processes.
  • Knowledge of Networking and TCP socket communication
  • Possess a strong logical aptitude with the ability to resolve complex Software control of electro-mechanical devices
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral) interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

Physical/Work Environments

  • Ability to remote access customers sites daily from your home base when not traveling.
  • Office and manufacturing settings, OPEX Corporation and customer sites.
  • Ability to lift at least 25 pounds independently.
