Reporting to the Director, Medicare Marketing, the Manager, Medicare Acquisition Marketing will support lead generation and brand advertising initiatives, performing the following duties personally or through their direct staff:

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director, Medicare Marketing, the Manager, Medicare Acquisition Marketing will support lead generation and brand advertising initiatives, performing the following duties personally or through their direct staff:

Execution

  • In partnership with external agency partners, manage the planning, development and production of beneficiary facing media campaigns that support brand awareness and/or lead generation.
  • Develop strategies to support product and geographic expansion through advertising activities and initiatives.
  • Manage ongoing omni channel member communications including print, mail, digital (email, text, apps, web and member portal), outbound call campaigns, bill stuffer series, etc.
  • Spearhead social media engagement strategy and content curation including coordinating with appropriate internal stakeholders on the content calendar and promotion.
  • Continuously perform assessments to determine and recommend in-house capabilities for media development.
  • Work closely with the Product Management, Medical Management, Customer Service, Sales and Operations teams to identify opportunities to more effectively communicate benefits and services to our members.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Medicare Marketing Guidelines as they pertain to in-scope communications, and a key point of contact for issue resolution and/or audit exercises.
  • Ensure the organizations brand and voice are carried consistently throughout all of our various communications.

Process Management

  • Lead efforts to develop or improve processes around planning, review and filing of all communications collaboratively with key Medicare stakeholders.
  • In alignment with the broader business and marketing strategies, develop an annual portfolio and documented plan for execution, including regular stakeholder reporting and dashboards.
  • Develop a communication flow that identifies all current member touch-points and serve as the Voice of the Customer/Member to ensure all communications have a consistent tone and nomenclature and recommend elimination of redundancy and/or low quality communications.

 People Management

  • Under the supervision of Finance partners and the Director, Marketing, manage to the Medicare Marketing budget and quarterly variance reporting.
  • Hire, train and build an effective staff of individual contributors supporting communications objectives

Education/ Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience in lieu of degree).
  • Applicable experience in lieu of degree.
  • Experience working in Medicare and with CMS.
  • 3-5 years of experience in or working with external media agencies.        

Other Skills:

  • Must have strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, problem-solving skills, facilitation/project management skills and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Power Point, Excel and familiarity with Visio.
  • In-depth knowledge of Medicare and CMS marketing guidelines.
  • Understanding of consumer health care marketing strategies & planning.
  • Health insurance advertising background.
  • Experience managing teams.
