Job Description BAE Systems is seeking a self-motivated personable Eng. Technologist II - Systems Engineer to join our team of diverse engineers. This position is located in Mount Laurel, NJ where Technology and Teamwork come together to provide independent service and support to the team of AEGIS Technical Representatives. The qualified candidate shall perform the roles and responsibilities of the FMS Spain Baseline Coordinator and provide direct independent engineering and technical support to the government project lead. The qualified candidate will be required to collaborate with an integrated team of engineers, technologists and military veterans dedicated to providing independent quality assessments of development of computer programs critical to the defense of the United States and Foreign Military Sales. The candidate's primary responsibilities will be to provide and brief the U.S. AEGIS Navy TECHREP customer on all technical and process aspects of the integration and development of the AEGIS Weapon System functionality into the AEGIS Combat System environment. The will need to have rhe ability to articulate and provide a true and accurate account and status of the technical aspects of the designated project development in a clear and concise manner and possess a demonstrated ability to technically assess testing aspects conducted by the developer and or other Government agencies to the government baseline project lead. An understanding of Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) principles is a plus. The desired candidate should have a solid understanding of the US Navy's AEGIS Computer Program development process and will have the following responsibilities in that role: * Coordinating with Systems Engineering to insure product/element coverage is available for all test events * Coordinate review of test procedures with T&E lead * Prepare Quicklook Reports (QLR) for each Test Event according to AEGISTECHREP Instructions * Coordinate element evaluation of test results and solicit Element Engineer inputs for operational and certification impact * Identify and utilize appropriate technical documentation, operational documentation, lessons learned, test plans, schedules, computer programs, data products, written reports and other media necessary for the project or baseline of responsibility. * Define scheduled events, testing, technical meetings, process meetings, and developer operations, and other evaluations for the project or baseline * Manage overall requirements database while keeping track of passes/fails/not tested requirements The FMS Spain Baseline Coordinator will be responsible for providing Contractual metric reports upon request, understand monitor and review Project Milestones, and actively support the annual development of Task Planning Sheets (TPS) based on Master Program Plan assumptions. Required Education, Experience, & Skills Minimum 3-5 years experience with DoD/DoN programs in Industry or Government technical management and Industry or Government business management with a desired focus on Navy/AEGIS Programs. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelors Degree (BS/BA) in a technical or engineering field or related experience.
