Primary Responsibilities:

  • Use appropriate data sampling, data preparation, analytic and statistical methodology to develop predictive models
  • Participate in the development of innovative machine learning solutions to solve complex problems
  • Source, clean and perform exploratory data analysis to verify data integrity and provide input to assist with model development
  • Provide testing, deployment, and maintenance of existing models
  • Support business needs around analytics, predictive modeling, and business intelligence
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses as required
  • Communicate findings, verbally and visually, to business partners and clients

Required Qualification:

  • 2+ years of hands-on professional experience in advanced analytics

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS in science, applied mathematics, (bio) statistics, applied statistics, economics, or similar quantitative fields of study 
  • Data mining / data analysis methods, building and implementing statistical and predictive models
  • Model validation, testing and tuning
  • Languages such as Python or R
  • Ml frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Kera
  • Big data frameworks such as Hadoop and Hive
  • Relational databases

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $64,800 to $116,000. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
