Communications & Brand Management delivers strategic internal, external, and executive communications for Wells Fargo and is responsible for driving the company's brand strategy. The team provides world-class counsel to accelerate the business and deliver relevant content to build trust, drive stakeholder perception, and protect and enhance the company's reputation.

This position will be responsible for driving an integrated communications strategy in support of the Technology team at Wells Fargo with primary focus executive communications, external communications, and internal communications. This person will work very closely with the Technology leadership team and bring a data driven approach to storytelling enhancing employee engagement while protecting and promoting the brand reputation amongst key stakeholders. The Wells Fargo job code title is Communications Senior Advisor.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Drive and build a data driven integrated communications strategy for the Technology team at Wells Fargo.
  • Provide strategic counsel and internal communications support for the head of Technology 
  • Provide support for high-priority communications for the Technology Leadership Team
  • Identify executive advocacy and thought leadership opportunities to advance storytelling inside and outside Wells Fargo
  • Collaborate with key partners to develop narratives that align with the company mission and resonate with key audiences. 
  • Partner closely with Centers of Excellence team for best in class content, storytelling, branding and media results
  • Partner closely with peers to identify connection points and leverage best practices
  • Lead innovative approaches to amplify our story across channels with an Omnichannel mix 
  • Offer insights and influence decision-making based on risk or reputational matters
  • Collaborate across Public Affairs to coordinate work and ensure a “One Wells Fargo” approach
  • Partner with communicators to create alignment and support for enhancing the overall corporate reputation

Preference is for this position to sit in Washington, DC.  Other locations may be considered. Relocation assistance is not available for this position. 

Salary range is determined by the location of the job.

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.

DC-Washington: Min: $119,400 Mid: $170,500 Max: $221,700

May be considered for a discretionary bonus, Restricted Share Rights or other long-term incentive awards. 

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of communications experience in one or more of the following disciplines: public relations, media relations or corporate communications

Other Desired Qualifications

  • Experience collaborating with a global team of communications professionals to drive world-class communications programs  
  • Deep understanding of leading and emerging trends in technology, digital, fin-tech 
  • Experience managing, counseling and leading communications for C-suite executives on high profile issues and delivery of global internal communications
  • Experience developing and executing integrated communications strategies for Technology clients, working in the technology sector in an agency environment
  • Experience designing executive thought leadership platforms and leveraging digital channels to help drive the story
  • Have a growth mindset with the ability to deliver small wins, while building towards a long-term vision.
  • Exhibit a high level of initiative and ownership, while simultaneously building a culture of collaboration and prioritization across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in crisis, issues and reputation management, and a working knowledge of traditional and non-traditional media.
  • Experience with proactive and reactive media relations; deep relationships with Technology media preferred
  • Experience developing compelling content and leveraging multiple channels for creative storytelling
  • Experience presenting information in a manner that persuades, enhances understanding at all levels
     

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
