The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia is one of the 12 regional Reserve Banks that, together with the Board of Governors in Washington, D.C., make up the Federal Reserve System. A Senior Analyst possesses and applies knowledge of data governance, management, and data analytics to independently complete assignments. Applies basic knowledge of fixed income instruments and FRS credit risk management business line to work assignments. Designs code, analyzes, and interprets moderately complex data within "big" databases to aide management and System workgroups in decision making. Prepares reports and recommendations based on the analyses of these data sets and presents results to internal audiences. Performs data management tasks and responds to time sensitive data analytics and data challenge requests to support the FRS's policies, practices and studies for collateralizing discount window and payments system credit risk. May review the work of less experienced analysts and provides training to promote professional development of staff. Works directly with external vendors to resolve data quality issues, evaluate vendor performance, and acquire data. Participates on, and may lead, System related assignments and departmental projects including the testing, implementation and maintenance of large databases and collateral applications to ensure they meet current and future needs. Identifies and makes suggestions with business unit management on issues. Collaborates and promotes teamwork among CDST staff on an ongoing basis.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs complex daily data management tasks and responds to time sensitive data analytics and data challenge requests to support the FRS's policies, practices and studies for collateralizing discount window and payments system credit risk.
Applies knowledge and judgment by designing code for analyzing and interpreting moderately complex big data sets to reach conclusions and recommendations regarding data quality and to support Applies process management skills to support operational improvements in the unit.
Leads and participates on System initiatives to develop System policies and procedures relating to the collateral data management and intelligence to support the Credit and Risk Management business line and associated operations. Prepares and presents in meetings and other forums with Bank and Federal Reserve System management.
Participates or leads the testing, implementation and maintenance of large databases and collateral applications to ensure they meet current and future needs.
Interacts with external vendors to resolve data quality issues and supports CDST vendor management program.
Assists less experienced analysts with duties. Also reviews the work and recommendations of other staff and coordinates the activities of less experienced analysts. Promotes teamwork. Fulfills job duties and responsibilities in conformance with sound safety practices. Demonstrates effective SRC Core Competency skills for grade and position. Performs other related duties as assigned.
