Job Summary: 

The Chief Technology Officer will provide the technology vision and leadership in the development, implementation and support of the company information technology (IT) program. The CTO will lead all aspects of technology, including the planning, development and enhancements of proprietary platforms in support of customers and internal business operations, infrastructure to support operations and growth, and compliance requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leads strategic technological planning to achieve business goals by prioritizing technology initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future technologies
  • Directs and manages the IT and Development team and ensures that priorities are defined, requirements are developed and appropriate processes are established
  • Manages all development resources and works to ensure priorities are clear, development standards are adhered to and testing is conducted
  • Ensures continuous delivery of technical and support services through oversight of service level agreements with end users and monitoring of systems, programs, and equipment performance.
  • Ensures that all aspects of technology is compliant with HIPAA and all other requirements to ensure appropriate controls, policies and procedures, and other requirements are in place
  • Collaborates with the appropriate departments and outside vendors to develop and maintain technology plans that support organizational needs
  • Develops/contributes to IT business plans, staffing, budgeting and process decisions that support both the long-term and the short-term objectives of the company
  • Directs development and execution of a Company-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan
  • Conducts research to remain up-to-date and knowledgeable in regards to compliance and industry trends and emerging technologies in anticipation of new business processes and system alterations
  • Analyzes complex business needs presented by the user community and/or clients and recommends technical solutions
  • Works with IT team to develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for technology spending and initiatives
  • Reviews hardware and software acquisition and maintenance contracts and pursue master agreements to capitalize on economies of scale
  • Contributes collaboratively to ensure design and delivery of high quality, scalable and innovative, configurable solutions that adhere to industry standards for architecture, security and privacy, and best practices
  • Supervises recruitment, development, retention, and organization of all technical staff in accordance with corporate budgetary objectives and personnel policies
  • Oversees and manages projects and staff to assure project deadlines are met, escalates issues for appropriate and timely resolution, and adheres to project management methodologies
  • Completes ad hoc reporting and analysis and special projects as required
  • Perform all other duties as required

Supervisory Job Duties:

Carries out supervisory duties in accordance with the Company’s objectives, policies, and applicable laws.  Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: planning, assigning, and directing work, interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing employee concerns, and partnering with HR to resolve escalated employee matters. 



  • Bachelor’s degree or 8-10 years industry experience preferred and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience


  • Proven Domain and expert technical knowledge
  • Proven leadership abilities to provide IT infrastructure planning, testing, implementation, project management and operational support
  • Ability to communicate information technology related concepts and technical issues into commonly understood language

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced Microsoft Office and applications software expertise
  • Ability to manage web application and services that interact with IP devices and web services
  • Strong knowledge of security, authorization, authentication
