Cafeteria Cooks, Food Prep, and Kitchen cleaning associates wanted!

Hours: 2PM-10P, 5PM-10PM, or 6PM-1:30AM Shifts available 7 days a week.
The primary responsibility of the Cook is to provide the highest quality of service to customers at all times. Other responsibilities include following recipes and/or product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving soups, meats, vegetables, desserts and other foodstuffs for consumption in eating establishments. This food preparation will include operating a variety of kitchen equipment to measure and mix ingredients, washing, peeling, cutting and shredding fruits and vegetables, and trimming and cutting meat, poultry or fish for culinary use. In addition, the Cook may be expected to taste products, read menus, estimate food requirements, check production, and keep records in order to accurately plan production requirements and requisition supplies and equipment. Additionally, the Cook may select recipes per menu cycle, prepare bakery items, receive, inventory, move and lift foodstuffs and supplies and prepare meals for customers requiring special diets.
The primary responsibility of the Food Prep Helper is to provide the highest quality of service to customers at all times. Other responsibilities include reading recipes and/or product directions, estimating food requirements, preparing appropriate pans for cooking, placing and removing pans of food into/out of equipment to cook and store. In addition, the Food Prep Helper may be expected to taste products, set-up salad bars, read menus and check production. Food preparation will include operating a variety of kitchen utensils to weigh, measure, mix, wash, peel, cut, grind, stir, strain, season and knead foodstuffs for cooking, serving and storing. The Food Prep Helper may also be required to lift and distribute supplies and equipment, assist others in the preparation of foods, and properly store food, utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage. Manual carts, electronic carts and motorized vans may be used in the delivery of food orders and equipment.
